Gooseberry jewels

Fun in the kitchen with G while D's away with the birds; he and his camera are happily ensconced on a chair a foot or two from the feeder...

you should.

and fun is good'

Visit his exuberant site... with or without your children; there's enough fun 'n' stuff there to keep everyone entertained for ages.

Thanks for the goosegems, Pen x

  1. Gooseberries! I saw these in Ireland last summer, but neglected to try them out...I didn't think of stringing them up!

  2. Hi Dan - nice to know you've been here; Dan vA told me about your blog so I've visited you, too. There's a world of opportunities & discussion to participate in out here!

T.Clear - ah, the surprising 'other' life of fruit! Wouldn't it be fun to come up with creative alternatives for the apples, blueberries, celery, pears and sweet potatoes we tend to consider primarily as food for the body? They're often at their most beautiful before we cook them or while we're preparing them for eating. I guess seeing them with fresh eyes is nourishment of another kind. And when all is said and done, we can still go on to eat them with gusto and appreciation!

M.Bilal iqbal - thank you for popping by and for the invitation to visit your computer site.

  3. Ha, I'd missed this one, Clara. Glittering! Now I need to go and pick more but wet bushes are a challenge.
